What Blogging Can Do For You

What Blogging Can Do For You - Have you seen my blog? Visit me at http://loriatvision.blogspot.com/ and take a look at some of my latest posts. If you’ve never hear of blogging before, or are wondering what a blog is, let me give you five reasons for using a blog on your website.

A blog is simply a web log, or an online journal that allows you to easily write in journal format, and communicate with your readers. They’ve grown in popularity because they are so easy to use.

I’m using http://www.blogger.com/, which is a free service put out by Google. It’s limited in ability and offers just a few template designs, but it’s a great way of getting started.

There are also pay services that allow you to customize your blog more to your own specifications, such as http://www.typepad.com/ or http://www.xanga.com/.

With a blog, you log in to your account, type up your thoughts, hit save and you’re done. The information is instantly online. And I do believe this will change the way we market online – quickly.

Take a look at one of my recent posts:

How can you use blogging? Talk to your customers. Provide them with information. Offer specials only for your blog readers. Tell them about things happening in your studio. Provide pointers on how to take better pictures. Give tips on displaying images. Blogs don’t have to be full articles – just a few phrases or sentences to convey an idea.

The key is to keep up with it. You have to post several times a week to make it work. But it is a fun way of doing business!
