Gaining
PR
Did
you know your local newspaper and trade publications are
always hunting for good information to include in their publications?
Did you know it’s very easy for you to be included?
Reporters
and editors are constantly on the look out for information
that their readers will find interesting and informative.
They have to create newsworthy stories consistently, over
and over again. They look for new ideas that will allow them
to provide a top quality publication on a regular basis.
If you can provide them with that information, you make their
job easier. Start by finding a handful of publications that
would benefit you and your business. Your local newspaper,
local and national trade publications, and local business
publications are a great place to start. Then begin creating
story ideas, create and send in press releases, and get stories
on a regular basis into the publications.
PR
is great because it’s a way of getting information in to
print, without having to create a marketing budget for it.
People love reading stories in print, and they always seen
a little more believable if its not straight out advertising.
If you read a heartwarming story, aren’t you always a little
more interested in the company being written about?
