VPS Award
(Very Professional Site!)

Winners

Our VPS Award is given out once a quarter to a photographer succeeding in the area of marketing. While all sites must be in the photographic industry, our goal is to choose a site that is using a variety of tools to help get the site noticed online.

We select our award winner from the sites submitted (chances of winning are based on number of sites submitted).

We focus on the marketability of the site - what online marketing techniques are you utilizing, and how well are they working?

We judge your site based on how your customers view your website, how well your site entices people to take action, and how well your site is attracting new clients in the online world.

Want to read more about what we look for in our award winners? Take a look at our newsletter in which we go over some of the details.

Summer 2007

VPS Award Winner

A great presentation and lots of linking is what gave this site it's edge this quarter. When we start evaluating sites, we don't start by looking at the site. Instead, we look at the marketing. We see how many other sites are referring you, where your site address shows up online, and how Google ranks you. Then from our top ranking sites we head to the site and visit if for the presentation. This site made our final cut by having a lot of references with other sites. And a great presentation. This site makes you want to learn more about the photographer, and take the time to click from page to page..

Congratualtions!

VPS Award Summer 2007

Spring 2007

VPS Award Winner

This month's winner has done two things right: lots of content, and no Flash programming. Because of this, their site is very searchable by the search engines, and offers them a lot of room for growth in the future. BlueMoon Studios provides a full sales presentation within its pages. It gets the visitor involved with the site, offers lots of options, and presents information very well. A prospect can easily move around, gain a lot of knowledge, and make a well-informed decision before making contact with the photographers (another plus is the form which prompts comments from the visitor).

Congratualtions!

VPS Award Spring 2007

March 2007

VPS Award Winner

When we look at the entries, we don't start with the looks of the site. Instead, we start our research in places like Google and Yahoo, and with some of our internal marketing tools, and look at the stats of the site. We want to find out how well you are marketing your site before we look at how well you designed your site. Once we have our stats in hand, we begin surfing your site. This month, Madeline Duval Davids with Duval Distinctive Photography submitted the site with the highest marketing results. She had the highest level of linking of all the sites submitted, and has a site filled with content making it more approachable for both clients and search engines. She also shared with us, "We use Successware software, and our more info page downloads directly into Successware Inquiry client area where the request is handled and tracked in Successware". That's the way to run your business efficiently.

Congratulations Madeline!
